This Spring willow sculptor Victoria Westaway will be at the Hampton Court Castle’s Red Cross Great Spring Gardening Event. As well as demonstrating and selling her willow sculptures Victoria will be on hand to discuss her techniques and new projects. As ever this is a great day out for gardeners and enthusiasts of the great outdoors. Visitors can stock up on plants and gardening accessories - as well as other food, home and garden related items - from about 80 quality exhibitors.
Showborough House opens its garden every spring to host the Affordable Garden Art Competition and Exhibition. This year willow and wire sculptor Victoria Westaway will be exhibiting her latest willow sculptures and will be including some new wire sculpture pieces. A wide variety of good but affordable sculpture, mostly by local sculptors, can be seen in the natural setting of the one and a half acre garden, which has been renovated over the last ten years.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show never fails to make headlines around the world and 2014 is no exception. This year’s show features a Fresh Garden Design by Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medalist Olivia Kirk who has commissioned willow and wire sculptor Victoria Westaway to create two new sculptural art pieces for the WellChild Garden. WellChild provides practical and emotional support for seriously ill children and their families throughout the United Kingdom.
In the Spring and Summer the hidden village of Coddington near Ledbury opens it’s gardens to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Local couple Meg and Brian Taylor will be opening their 1-acre informal country garden on Sunday 6th July between 2-5 in the afternoon. Willow and Wire Sculptor Victoria Westaway will be showing her garden sculptures around this beautiful garden, with its generous mixed borders lavishly planted with shrubs, roses, perennials and bulbs.
h.Art Week 2014 will take place from 6th to 14th September. This year Arts in the Marches at Llangarron presents an exciting range of affordable sculpture from established local artists, including Victoria Westaway, Sue Thorne, Diane Ree and Glenn Morris. Exhibiting affordable sculptures for your home and garden. Work includes bronze, cement fondue, ceramics, glass, metal, resin, stone, willow, wire and wood; ranging from larger than life to hand sized collectables.
Victoria has been invited back to display her willow sculptures amongst the Plant Heritage National Collection of Autumn Flowering Asters in The Picton Garden held at the Old Court Nurseries in Colwall near Malvern. Old Court is a third generation family run business and offers a friendly personal service, specialising in breeding and growing MICHAELMAS DAISIES (Autumn Flowering Asters). The garden is open from August until mid October including many days for the National Gardens Scheme.
