Victoria Westaway has lived amongst bountiful orchards deep in the Herefordshire and Somerset countryside, so it wasn't long before she started creating Giant Cider Apple sculptures, her first exhibition at a local orchard proved very popular and now these Cider Apple and Pear sculptures produce regular willow and steel wire sculpture commissions from clients across the country.
Giant Willow Apple Sculptures. Willow garden sculptures depicting cider apples are some of Victoria’s most popular work. In a world where mass production and speed is of such great importance people are realising the special qualities of slow grown and heritage foods. Victoria is keen to promote this diversity of grown produce and loves to celebrate the heritage of orchards and the rare varieties of apples and pears that grow there.
Black pears grace the grounds at Hillersdon House, Devon. Victoria Westaway was delighted to exhibit her new wire artworks at Hillersdon earlier in the year. These contemporary and fun sculptures proved very popular with the visitors at the NGS open day and bought a real focus to the grand vistas surrounding the house.

Worcester Black Pears. This contemporary wire sculpture by Artist Victoria Westaway depicts the famous black pears of Worcestershire. Working from her art studio in the heart of Devon Victoria celebrates the agricultural diversity of these famous and rare Apple and Pear varieties. These sculptures are woven in steel which are then powder coated in Matt black, the leaf is woven in precious bronze wire.
Fair Maid of Devon. These giant cider apple sculptures are based on the famous apple variety ‘The Fair Maid of Devon. Willow Sculptor Victoria Westaway is keen to promote and celebrate the wonders of real orchards and is often asked to local apple day events where she demonstrates her skills of weaving willow into these bountiful sculptures.
Black Wire Pears. Contemporary sculptures of giant pears by Wire Sculptor Victoria Westaway. These steel wire sculptures are created in Victoria workshop in Devon. They are built on a steel armature before being woven and powder coated to protect the steel against the natural elements
